DSW-88-N
Data switch for the s88-feedback bus from the Digital-Professional-Series !
The data switch DSW-88-N acts as a Y-cable which can divide the s88-bus. The below shown cable connects the module to the command station and the two above s88-cables are the two new s88-feedback lines, one to the right and one to the left side.
Normally the s88-feedback bus expects all connected feedback modules behind each others in one line. The data switch DSW-88-N provides the possibility to split the s88-feedback output!
The data switch DSW-88-N provides in addition three 6-poles pin bars for the s88 standard connection and as well three *RJ-45 sockets for a bus connection according to s88-N.
For example: Your command station has been placed into the middle of the model railroad layout you do not need anymore to install a long feedback ring. You can now easily split the output after the data switch DSW-88-N for a separate left and right feedback line.
Is the data switch DSW-88-N connected directly to the command station (here Intellibox) is it possible to build two feedback lines for left- and right-hand installation below the layout. If you require another splitting you can just insert one more data switch DSW-88-N into the line.

- No additional power supply is required for the data switch DSW-88-N. It is suitable for 5 and 12V s88-bus voltage.
- The feedback informations will be transfered through the data switch without any delay.
- Each reading of feedback information started by the command station will report the information of all connected feedback modules to the central unit. First reading will be the information of the left line. Following the data switch will change to the right feedback line for transfer of those informations.
- The data switch DSW-88-N is compatible with all s88-feedback modules available on the market.
- LDT-components from the Digital-Professional-Series can easily be used on any digital model railway layout.
- The finished module in a case comes with 24 month warranty.
- Each data switch DSW-88-N will be supplied with a detailed operating-/respectively assembly-instruction. Those instructions can be found within the next section.
- The data switch DSW-88-N is available as a kit (-B) or as checked finished module in a case (-G).

To assure a good connection: s88-Bus Cable!
- The data switch DSW-88-N will be supplied without s88-bus cable. Please select a suitable bus cable (length and style) at the following table. For the s88-standard connection we supply an interference protected, twisted s88-bus cable with original s88-plugs at length of 0,5m, 1m and 2m. s88-standard connections are always required for the connection of the first feedback module to the command station or interface.
- We offer for s88-bus connections in accordance to
a blue screened patch cable with RJ-45 plugs at four different length of 0,5 to 3m.
- The feedback module RM-88-N, RM-88-N-O and RM-GB-8-N can be connected with the data switch DSW-88-N via s88-standard connection “Kabel s88” or via “Kabel Patch” according to.
